CDs and DVDs have been created from media conversions from our start in 2006

This is really easy and we break it down to four steps:

  1. 1. You place an order either here online or by phone.

If you decide to use our online Service / Prices section to order your media conversion then just think of it like you are buying anything else online.  By setting up your order beforehand we will know exactly what to do when your records, tapes, film, VHS, miniDV and more get here and we can get started immediately by sending you a confirmation email and update reports.  You give us your shipping address for returning everything along with your email address for us to keep you updated.  You can pay by credit card, check, money order and other types of payment - just ask us.

  1. 2. You mail your video and audio media directly to us.

This step is totally up to you.  What we suggest is that you pack up all of your video and audio multimedia that you want us to convert and take them to a UPS Store of FedEx-Kinkos location.  They are great for packing and shipping your media for you, it costs a little extra but by using these guys to ship your stuff you know it will not be lost or broken.  Another option is to use USPS of course, but we generally prefer the others.

  1. 3. We receive your order and work our magic.

When your package arrives we enter your information in our computers to double check everything is correct.  We then transcribe the titles and track information for all the vinyl records, cassettes, video tapes and reels onto the CD and DVD surfaces along with using the photos and information you have provided to make the CDs and DVDs look great.  The conversions themselves come next and we use our state of the art equipment and proprietary software to get the best possible quality of of them.  This usually takes a few days and you are kept updated every step of the way to know what is going on.

  1. 4. We package everything up nice and tight and ship it back to you.

We email or call you and let you know the order is being mailed back.  Then we package everything up in one single box unless preferred otherwise and mail it back - we do not keep anything, it all goes back to you in one piece.

Also, you have already specified the way you want the media to mailed back to you and we use that service you have requested, whether it be USPS Media Mail which takes a long time but is cheap, or UPS Overnight air which takes less than 24 hours in most cases and is expensive.

Getting your media to us is your responsibility.  So, we are not responsible for any damage that may take place on your packages trip to TuneTransfers.com, LLC.  To quell your concerns we are proud to have a 100% record of never losing any media either way from here to your house or the other way around.  In addition to that, when the media has been properly packaged there has been no damage incurred to any audio or video multimedia since our opening in late 2006.

We are also not responsible for any damage that takes place on its way back to you by UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL or any other postal service unless we mislabeled the package or improperly positioned the contents.  Regardless of how you package your media to get to us, we reinforce the sides of the boxes and position all the media in foam.

Finally, we are able to fix damaged media when it comes to us for free in most cases.  If you have a broken video or audio cassette we can usually fix the material - if it requires new parts then we will be forced to charge you for the cost - but it usually stays below $7.50 for the purchases parts.  Just let us know when you are mailing the media in if it is broken or not - and if it somehow is damaged on the trip to us we will also make sure to fix it to convert it over and contact you to determine if the item was damaged before or after departure.
